J&W just released 890GX itx motherboard not long ago. This is the first AMD 890GX itx motherboard. Guess what? This motherboard is truely USB3.0 compatible. You can install up to 4 harddsiks. So will you use it as a itx NAS? May be it’s too powerful. I would rather use it as a itx htpc motherboard. OK, have a look of the official images:
Some people use LIAN LI PC-Q11 as the case. Actually, I don’t really like LIAN LI itx case design. Snce I got LIAN LI PC-Q07, it’s real hard for the hot air to get out of the case. Anyway, just check out how other people play with MINIX 890GX-USB3 motherboard.
I see another person using a MAC-Mini clone case to work with MINIX 890GX-USB3. I think this case is from China. How hot is the cpu? Not really hot, idle 30C and full load 40C, he’s using AMD PII 555BE. Here are some of the images:
I think MINIX 890GX-USB3 is available in China and Hong Kong at the time when I write this article. I am not sure whether it will available in other countries.
